this world: a Princess at a restroom
"sometimes you have to let the past go to experience the presence" sometimes God speaks to us in throught the strangest things, that was off of smallville. i think you could also change it to "sometimes you have to let the future go to experience the presence"
this weekend my brother took up a new nickname for me "princess Cherise", i was a fan. being downtown, amoung all the fancy stories and nice hotels, and sitting in the 7th row and the Moose game (ya seriously so close to the ice), i did sorta feel like a princess and it kinda felt right. then during church they talked about engagement rings and i can't lie i want the biggest mother trucker dimand i've ever seen, dimands are gorgeous! i always thought feeling like this was super-fical and not Christian. now i know that this is from God, haha i'm sure ya'll disagree, but really those are the things He put in heaven. big mansions, pearly gates, and a crown because i'm in Jesus's family and He's the Prince. sometimes i want my future now, and i get parts of it, but i fail to remember that now that's not whats important.
i took my little shrine to Brittany off the wall in my room. it was hard, but necassary. i used to think that your history is relative to location. that when i left a place that that part of my life stayed there, haha i was wrong. history is your story, it's a part of how you are and it's soo important to know where you come from. it'll always be a part of me in my heart, but i think it's time to put it away and not let it eclipse the blessings God has for me today.
i realized today in response to my last entry about wanting to fly away, that possibly that is because i'm not at home here. i keep looking for places to "fit in", but i won't ever find them here. on the road trip of life earth is simply a "pee break " on the way to my castle!!!

cherise, as always, you make me smile! the whole "fitting in" thing...i'm still trying to remember it - as switchfoot would say "i don't belong here". and it's true, we don't, but it's hard to remember. so anyways, you're not coming to house group are you
:( i guess i'll survive!
