Humanistic approach to feminism
alright so i hate doing this and i feel really bad about this but i've been really angry lately and running hasn't been able to get it out of my system. i met with a teacher to discuss the career last week and he told me, to my face that because i was a good mennonite girl i would probably have 4 or 5 kids so i should reconsider teaching cause teaching history is a lot of work... hum... ya that made me NOT HAPPY. first of all who has the guts to say that to a stranger!!! second if this is whats in the education system, no wonder women aren't been challenged to succeed!! and third where's my husband in all this??? would he tell that to a mennonite boy!!! oh course not, but why is that any different parenting is a team effort, or at least it should be.
well since i've started this. the other night i went out dancing and for some reason the hooch really came out that night. i can get over the slutty dress, they work hard for their bodies, ok then, but the dancing drove me nuts. the girl on girl action drove me nuts, you know they're just doing it for attention normally girls don't do that. gees seriously have we devalued ourselves to such a point that we have to grind other girls to get a man. oh my word where is any self-respect. and then some girl let a guy very obivously move her shirt to look down it, you can not honestly think she likes that!!! grrrr...
ok so here is my last point on this rant. have you ever noticed that guys just love to be surrounded by hot girls, like seriously it is some sort of weird obsession. well i've figured out that this somehow boasts their confidence level, why i don't know cause it's not like it means they have a chance with her. while i understand wanting to be surrounded by beautiful things, seriously this is sick. like women are just people not objects to make you feel better about yourself. if you want to boast your confidence buy new clothes, or a truck or accomplish a goal!! how insecure are men that how they feel is based on the hotness of women they hang around with.... gees
sometimes this all just drives me crazy, women are just people, not objects. ya sure be attracted whatever, but attraction should only matter to one person. the rest of everyone can just see me as a person......... huff
